Firefighters from EWVFC1 were called to action at roughly 7:45am on Sunday morning, Sept 11th 2005.
After Downed Wires ignited an automobile in driveway, Washington Fire Company (Station 40) called for Mutual Aid. As Chief 42 and Ladder 42 arrived on location, a smoke column could be seen from up the street. The high voltage wires delayed fire suppression allowing a second automobile to catch fire. Once the power company confirmed that the electric was shut down, Firefighters immediately began to attack and knock down the fire.
