Aquired in 1998, Rescue 42 was originally designated Engine 42-1. In 2004 the engine was renamed Rescue 42 because of its arsenol of extrication and other life saving equipment. Because it carries such life saving equipment as Pre-connected Hydraulic Spreaders and Cutters, along with 175,000 lb capacity Air Lift Bags, it is our first to out engine for Car Fires and Extrication Calls. With a 1,250 gallon per minute pump, along with a removable 2-1/2" deck gun, it is also very capabable of serving its role as 3 due Attack Truck for Structure Fires. Most noteable when first looking at this truck is its Center Mounted Operator Console that keeps the Pump Operator off the road and provides them with visibility to both sides of the Engine. |
